ABOUT THE COURSE
For whom:
A course on painting miniatures and terrain: miniature figures of characters, buildings and elements of the environment for tabletop role-playing games, wargames and modeling. The course is designed for beginners, people interested in games and those who want to try this hobby. During the classes we will go all the way from the very basics to complex artistic techniques.
Why should you come?
Have a great time with like-minded people in the hobby
Learn to paint miniatures for your games
Start to understand composition and color theory
You can also bring your figures and finally paint them.

On course:
  • We will go through different techniques of painting miniatures. But we will start with the basic, simplest ones. You don't have to be able to draw for this.
  • You will learn about color theory, composition, features and differences of materials for painting miniatures. We will immediately use all this in practice and already in the first lesson we will paint a figurine.
  • We will start with objects of the environment and buildings. We will master the technique of dry brush, we will use special paints - shades and inks.
  • And then we will move on to painting miniatures of heroes. During the course we will also analyze more complex techniques. For example, OSL (Object Source Lighting) and NMM (Non-metallic metal).
  • We will try airbrush painting and even freehand.
Despite the abundance of unfamiliar terms, there is nothing complicated about it. Painting miniatures is an incredibly addictive, fascinating, meditative process, and you will master all the skills for this on the course.

Masha Chugunova
Hi, I'm Masha Chugunova, an artist from St. Petersburg. I graduated with a degree in graphic design and now work as an illustrator and concept artist for mobile games. I spend most of my free time playing tabletop role-playing games (like D&D): I play with friends, stream and record videos on YouTube, and spend a lot of time on the artistic design of games: I draw maps, characters, and paint miniatures for playing on the tactical field. I think tabletop role-playing games are the coolest hobby in the world, giving incredible inspiration and the brightest emotions.
