ARCHITECTURAL
WORKSHOP BELGRADUS

Age: 7–11 years

Schedule: Saturday 10:00-11:30

The lesson lasts one and a half hours with a break for a snack (tea, fruit, cookies)

IN THE WORKSHOP:
  • We'll explore Belgrade's architecture, from ancient buildings to modern streets. The kids will learn about styles, eras, and famous buildings, and then try their hand at "building" the city themselves: drawing, constructing, and designing their own projects. All through play, observation, and creativity.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Module 1 (September): Ancient Times and the First Settlements
Topic: From a Fortified Camp to Roman Singidunum
What we'll learn: How people built their first houses and fortifications

Module 2 (October): Medieval Belgrade
Topic: Fortresses and Medieval Houses
What we'll learn: Fortress walls, towers, bridges
Activity: Drawing and building a fortress with towers

Module 3 (November): The Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires
Topic: Architectural Influences of Different Cultures
What we'll study: Mosques, churches, palaces, residential areas
Activity: Creating a mini-town with colorful houses and "streets of different eras"

Module 4 (December): The 19th Century – Industrial and Urban Growth
Topic: Urban Transformation, First Bridges and Streets
What we'll study: Classical and Art Nouveau architecture
Activity: Creating a model of a historical street with bridges and squares

Module 5 (January): The 20th Century – Modernism and Reconstruction
Topic: Modern Buildings and Post-War Construction
What we'll study: Blocks, Skyscrapers, City Planning
Activity: Children build a model of a modern street with skyscrapers

Module 6 (February): The 21st Century – The Future of the City
Topic: Modern Buildings Ideas, eco-friendly homes, urban development, urbanism
What we're learning: How architects think about the future of the city
Activity: Designing and building the "City of the Future"

Sara Vujičić
Master of Architecture and co-founder of the company with over 10 years of experience designing residential and public buildings.
Born into a family of Serbian engineers, she dreamed of architecture since childhood. After graduating from the
Moscow Architectural Institute, Sara dedicated herself to creativity, teaching, and inspiring students.
In her classes, she emphasizes practice, experimentation, spatial thinking, and the pursuit of a personal style. For Sara, education is not only the transfer of knowledge but also mentorship, which helps unlock the potential of each student.
