COURSE PROGRAM

1. Apartment design: what is important to do before starting renovation.

In this lecture, you will get the key to understanding the structure of a design project and learn how to move from a general concept to specific actions.
We will consider which elements of a design project are within your power, and when it is worth involving professionals.
We will decipher the first steps: drawing up a technical assignment and preparing a measurement plan. You will get a clear understanding of which stages the creation of an interior begins with and why each of them should be approached with special care.

2. Your style is your home. We create our own interior concept.

We will understand the topic of a conceptual solution for the interior and create our own image. We will analyze in detail different options and sources for creating a concept. We will study how to understand our own preferences and launch a creative flow. We will begin to translate images and ideas into the plane of a real interior.

3. NON-secrets of a harmonious interior: the basics of composition.

Without knowledge of the basics of composition, it is difficult to achieve harmony in the interior. During the lesson, we will examine the fundamental principles of composition, including the ratio of sizes, creating visual accents and balance, as well as the use of contrasts, rhythms and other techniques. Composition serves as an invisible framework that unites the interior into a single and complete structure.

4. Color in the interior. Basic principles.

Let's get acquainted with the laws of coloristics, the concept of contrast in the interior and learn the general formula for distributing color across space. Let's learn how to create harmonious color combinations. Let's figure out why designers love complex shades and what they are. Let's study what a "flat" interior is and how to make it voluminous and multi-layered.

5. Learning to work with color. Practice in coloristics in the interior.

In practice, we will work with the basic concepts: saturation, brightness, contrast, etc. We will learn to "see" color and determine its main tone. We will get acquainted with paint manufacturers and learn how to decipher the NCS system article numbers.

6. Interior planning and zoning. Key dimensions and proportions of space.

Proper planning is the foundation of any project. The location of the main functional areas, furniture arrangement, usage scenarios - we will tell you how to work with all the input data correctly and make a rational layout. Also, in this lesson you will get acquainted with programs and mobile applications with which you can independently draw a furniture arrangement plan and the necessary schemes.

7. Interior of the future: design trends for 2025.

Discover the world of contemporary styles and the latest interior design trends. Uncover their origins, learn which ones are worth embracing, and which to leave behind. Sharpen your creative eye and master the art of working with design references.

8. Lighting that changes everything: tips and solutions for the interior.

In the lecture, we will talk about how light can transform your space. We will figure out why several lighting scenarios are needed in one room. We will understand the difference between cold and warm light and which and where to use correctly. We will define what interior and technical light is. We will learn how to light a bedroom, dining room, hallway, children's room and transit areas.

9. Materials Science. Mood board — principles of creation, collecting ideal combinations.

Let's study the most common finishing materials and figure out where and how to use them. Let's find out what are the secrets of creating a harmonious mood board and how to create your own. In practice, we'll see how contrasts in textures work and how they can be combined in one space.

10. Custom furniture: (kitchens, storage systems, furniture). What is important to know about working with contractors.

Technical rooms and dressing rooms are often designed as an afterthought, based on the idea that no one will see them, and it doesn’t matter what the interior will be like. In fact, if you don’t pay attention to these areas, the entire interior will suffer. We will also tell you in detail about the kitchen — after all, it is always a project within a project. You will learn how to properly plan these spaces from the point of view of functionality and ergonomics.

11. Interior decoration, basic techniques and secrets of decorators.

Let's look at the main techniques that decorators use. We'll discuss how to choose the right decorative elements that will not only decorate the room, but also reflect your individuality. We'll learn how to avoid typical mistakes in home decoration.

12. How to see your project. Visualizing ideas in accessible ways.

Let's consider methods of manual and digital visualization of your project: we will put together collages of stylistic solutions for each room, which will become a route map when purchasing finishing materials and decorative items.

13. Made in Serbia. Interior market of Serbia - where to find interesting items and materials.

We will learn the specifics of the interior market in Serbia. We will share contacts of interesting manufacturers and trusted suppliers of materials and items. Using a real example, we will discuss the optimal scheme of interaction with interior showrooms.
