We will go all the way from a hint of an idea, through sketches to drawings, work with structures, and implement the plan many, many times. We will learn about carpentry joints: classic and unshakable tenons and grooves, modern fasteners and connecting elements, get acquainted with fittings of different types and learn how to replace one with another.
This course is about developing and strengthening neural connections, about the fact that creation and the path from an idea to a result, that very project activity, teaches much more than understanding algorithms that are easily googled in the modern world, but you can learn to get out of difficulties and be able to answer a question only by encountering this, and in carpentry there is more than enough of this, we work with living material that interacts with us no less than we with it.
Practicing carpenter, DIY culture and art figure. Participant of DIY Academy, GES-2 Atelier, Kavardak art residence and carpentry teacher for children aged 5 to 99.
